OBOS // Annual conference for board leaders

The Challenge:
OBOS Property Management hosts an annual conference for board leaders from their managed housing associations, focusing on competence building and dialogue. Previous attendees had expressed a clear desire: they wanted more opportunities to discuss challenges with fellow board leaders.

Our Co-creation Solution: Responding to this feedback, we designed an interactive workshop format that would enable meaningful peer-to-peer discussion and problem-solving among board leaders.

The Journey: Over two consecutive years, we facilitated large-scale workshops with 80-90 participants each. The sessions were carefully designed to:

Year 1: Resident Communication We focused on enhancing dialogue between board leaders and residents, creating structured discussions that led to practical solutions and shared learning.

Year 2: Service Innovation The focus shifted to identifying and developing relevant services, leveraging the collective experience of dozens of board leaders to uncover new opportunities.

The Impact: These workshops transformed a traditional conference format into a dynamic co-creation experience, where board leaders could: • Share challenges and solutions with peers • Learn from collective experiences • Build valuable networks • Develop practical approaches to common challenges

This approach demonstrated how effective facilitation can turn large-group sessions into meaningful collaborative experiences, even with 80+ participants. 🚀
