Our Co-creation Solution: The Future 4 Framework

We developed 'Future 4' - a comprehensive innovation framework designed to transform challenges into opportunities. This structured approach guides selected teams from insight to concept pitch in just 5 days through focused innovation sprints.

The Journey: Our four-week future-focused process (hence 'Future 4') included three innovation sprints tackling different challenges. Each sprint generated concepts that were tested directly with OBOS members, leading to refined solutions and clear implementation paths.

Year 1: Creating New Member Value The initial challenge focused on discovering novel ways for OBOS to create value for its members. The process proved so successful that it became an annual innovation initiative.

Year 2: Sustainable Home Renovation Building on previous success, we tackled how to make Norway's passion for home renovation more sustainable. This sprint brought together an impressive coalition of partners:

The Impact: Each year produced nine distinct concepts, with priority initiatives moving forward into OBOS's development pipeline. The framework's versatility proved valuable beyond major innovations, successfully supporting smaller initiatives like the summer intern project.
